As Promised!

Hey guys,
So as promised (though a little delayed) a brand new track from the album has been posted on both our myspace ad our Purevolume site. In about a week or so we will take it off and put up another new track.
The track we put up is called "The Way You Are". If you have ever seen Firescape, you probably heard this song. It has been a staple in our set list for about a year. So I hope you like it. Please let us know what you think. I love reading the feedback from you guys, I think it's awesome.
Now, on to some other cool stuff. I met a Nobel Prize Winner the other day. I think it's really awesome meeting people who attain fame through the means of knowledge. It was a spiritually satisfying experience to say the least.
Also, and in a completely unrelated topic, I have been party to more Beer Bong's in the past month than I have in my entire young adulthood. I think I have a problem. If you see me with a funnel and plastic tubing, please take me to a fancy bar or something where that sort of thing is looked down upon.

The TOP TEN LIST;

Top Ten Things I Overanalyze!!!!

10. Women
9. What does Mike Doughty mean when he talks about true dreams in Wichita
8. God
7. The ingredients of Low Fat foods.
6. How bad I am at Bowling
5. I need to stop biting my nails
4. What the tall black dude in Prodigy actually does in the band
3. The Past
2. Why Vodka is supposedly a better Alcohol for you body than Gin
1. Why Red Cloud can serve 28 degree beer but no one else can figure it out.

New times

Hey everybody,
Thanks to all of you who came out to the show in Nor-Cal on Friday night... Amazing. Even when we play acoustic, you all come out and make it a rocking event.
I hope you all had an awesome Halloween. I did. So this is just a short sweet little blog to say hi and post one of the funnier pics from my night with Brian in San Francisco. It should be self -explanatory.
Sorry, no top ten list this week ( booo!) But I will update later this weekend hopefully with a new track to put up as well to start listening to from the new album. rock out.

For the record.... I am extremely boring

So I've been a little MIA. I have lost and found myself at least 3 times this month. Emotional ups and downs. The Anaheim Angels are mainly to blame. The mixing of the album is going great. I am very excited for you all to hear it. Apparently the whole Myspace thing is really taking off. Keep up the good times there. I try to stay away from myspace. I think I already have too many skeletons in my closet that I don't need a medium to show them to the world. I read something that said that myspace will ruin your relationships. I think at this point, I don't need any help in that department, so don't feel bad if I stick to my blogging.
I just figured out that I can put pictures up here. So I am going to try to start putting pictures up at least once a week. This weeks is from last weekend. I was going to try and describe what I was doing, but I think a lack of explanation may be better suited.
Oh, here's something. I just returned from Vegas a couple hours ago. I got extremely drunk with about 12 guys I have known for far too long, lost a lot of money and fell in love with a stripper...... Par for the course.

Okey Dokey. Well, now on to the top ten list.

Top ten lines that I wish I had written (with links if possible) :

10 - Bullet proof Glass at the KFC,

To everything, Turn, Turn, Turn

Hello all,
Well, this weekend Firescape will be playing a benefit for the Hurricane Katrina victims. I am really excited. It will be an Acoustic set which is awesome. We had a couple of acoustic sets on the last tour so it should be pretty nice to come back to it. Also, we are going to play a couple of new songs which I am pretty excited about. So yeah, that's the word here. Summer is almost officially over. I didn't get a tan. Just like last year, and the year before, and the year before. So in keeping with the subject of my inability to tan, I am going to list my top ten things I suck at... I'm sure my family and friends can make a top 1000, but this is my blog and my self esteem is poor as it is.
So here goes

Top Ten Things I suck at:

10- Bowling
9- Eating at the Dinner Table (I have horrible manners)
8- Calling my mother
7- Pretending to be interested
6- Not biting my nails
5- Playing the Drums
4- Tanning
3- crossing my eyes
2- Dating
1- Not spilling beer on myself

Time after Time

So it has been a little while since I have posted here. Sorry about that. I keep meaning to do it but either lazyness or ignorance keep me from accomplishing this simple task.
I have been in the studio all week producing/writing/throwing penny's and other assorted change at the band Like Lions. This band is really awesome. It is so cool watching a band come from one place, transform themselves through a process and come out the other end a better band. I definitely think you should check out the Like Lions stuff ASAP.
Other than that. Jake and I are planning to go back into the studio next week to do a couple more tracks to lock down the album. That will put the recorded material at a grand total of 30 songs. I am hoping to put out a 14 song album but we will see. Sometimes you can't have your cake and eat it too. I am hoping to finish and mix every single track and release the unused ones online for free. I figure that there is no point to not have them floating around cyberspace.

So now onto the top ten list-

Top ten songs in my CD player ( I know this is easy but anyways)

10- Jim Croce- You Don't Mess Around With Jim
9- Toad the Wet Sprocket- Fall Down
8- Death Cab for Cutie- Marching Bands of Manhattan
7- Like Lions - Cheap Seats
6- Mae- This is the Countdown
5- Mike Doughty- Grey Ghost
4- The Fray- Over My Head
3- Circa Survive- In Fear and Faith
2- Gin Blossoms- Found Out About You
1- Mike Doughty- Sunken Eyed Girl
